Darryl’s morning checks on Hive5
Almost a year on Hive5
Darryl was leaving another P2P platform when he began researching Hive5. Reviews from other investors and information on the Hive5 website helped him decide to try it.
Almost a year later, he says he is pleased with his experience overall. There are still things he would like to change on the website, but these have not stopped him from investing.
Auto-Invest and morning checks
Darryl uses Auto-Invest, which reduces the amount of manual work he needs to do. He continues to check how his account is performing:
« I usually check my account in the morning. I mainly look for payment delays and consistency in the data that is shown on the platform. »
He appreciates the volume of loans available and says Auto-Invest has worked well for him. In his experience so far, there has been little cash drag or delay in repayments. This describes his own account history, not a guarantee of uninterrupted investment or on-time repayment.
More responsive support
His experience with customer support has changed:
« When I started, the support was not great. But for a few months now, they have been very responsive. »
Asked about progress, he also points to changes he has noticed:
« Over the last few months, I noticed more investments have been made on the platform. »
A look at Darryl’s portfolio
Darryl’s dashboard shows a total balance of €33,788.13, with €33,783.65 invested and €4.48 available. It records a net annual return of 13.34%, profit of €2,033.12 and a personal bonus of +1% on the annual interest rate.
The portfolio contains 229 current loans, with none shown in the 1–15, 16–30 or 31–60 day late categories. These are his individual historical figures. The net annual return is not his total return since joining, and other investors’ results may differ.

How Hive5 compares
Compared with other P2P platforms he has used, he highlights loan availability, Auto-Invest and the regularity of repayments. This is his personal assessment.
Advice for new investors
Asked what he would tell a friend, he includes a reminder about risk:
« The platform is working great. But they should understand the risk before investing »
