Interest rate update from June 1

As part of our regular portfolio review, selected loan products on Hive5 will receive a moderate ROI adjustment from June 1.

Earlier this year, we adjusted rates as part of our sustainable growth approach. Following a recent review of product performance, loan terms, and portfolio composition, selected products will now be adjusted to better align returns across different loan terms and product categories.

The updated rates will apply to new investments made from June 1:

Loan originator Product Term New ROI
Finjet ES Consumer Loans up to 45 days 13%
Finjet ES Business Loans up to 3 months 13.5%
Credilink RO Business Loans up to 3 months 13.5%
Credilink RO Business Loans 24 months 15%
Firmeo PL Business Loans up to 3 months 13%
Firmeo PL Business Loans up to 24 months 14.5%

We also encourage investors using Auto Invest to review your strategies and adjust the settings if needed, so your portfolios remain aligned with the updated product rates.

Secondary Market coming by September 2026

Alongside these updates, we’ve started development of a Secondary Market on Hive5, expected to launch by September 2026. This feature will let investors exit investments early by selling their claims to other investors — giving you greater flexibility and liquidity, especially on longer-term products. It’s a meaningful step toward making Hive5 a more flexible platform for both short- and long-term investment strategies.

Alongside this, Hive5 continues to strengthen its marketplace with growing activity across business loan products, broader product availability, and ongoing platform improvements aimed at supporting a more diversified investment experience.

Our focus remains the same: building a stronger, more sustainable marketplace while offering investors competitive opportunities across different products and loan terms.

Credilink Crosses €1 Million in Loan Originations Within 7 Months of Operations

Credilink — the Romanian consumer-finance brand of We Finance IFN S.A. and part of the broader Hive Finance Group — has reached a major operational milestone: over 3,000 loan disbursements across 2,143 active credit lines and €1 million in cumulative loan volume within just seven months since launching on the Hive5 marketplace. To mark the next phase of its growth, Credilink is now opening a 2-year loan placement at 14,5% annual interest to investors.

Portfolio Quality

From the very first months of operations, the Credilink loan portfolio has consistently generated positive returns for Hive5 investors, with all portfolio-level financial indicators trending in the right direction. This early performance was achieved while deliberately operating within conservative credit exposure limits. This disciplined foundation sets the stage for the accelerated growth phase ahead.

The repeat customer model

Credilink offers borrowers a revolving credit line rather than a single one-off loan. Each line is issued with a 24-month term. The benefits of this model compound over time:

  1. Existing customers reuse the line instead of being acquired from scratch
  2. Lower acquisition cost per loan as the borrower base matures
  3. More predictable cash-flow patterns at portfolio level
  4. A friendlier customer experience that builds loyalty

The result: more than 60% of Credilink’s client community has come back to reutilize their credit line — a strong signal of product–market fit in the Romanian consumer-finance segment. On average, each credit line has generated ~1.4 disbursement transactions, with that ratio expected to compound as the borrower base matures.

Monthly growth: disbursement trajectory

The first seven months show steady scaling of both loan volume and ticket size:

CREDIT LINES

2,143

DISBURSEMENTS

3,000+

TOTAL VOLUME

€964,252

AVG. LOAN

€262 → €470

Cumulative monthly trajectory shown October through April (the first seven full months of operations). May activity brings the total to €964,252 across 3,000+ disbursements.

Two trends stand out:

  • The cumulative disbursed amount has grown at roughly 30% per month on average over the Oct–Apr period.
  • The average loan size has nearly doubled between October (€262) and April (€470), reflecting both growing trust in the underwriting process and a maturing borrower base.

Regulated Non-Banking Financial Institution

We Finance IFN S.A. operates as a fully licensed Non-Banking Financial Institution under the direct supervision of the National Bank of Romania (BNR). This reflects a long-standing commitment to regulatory compliance.

The NBFI license requires ongoing adherence to:

  • Capital adequacy standards
  • Mandatory financial reporting
  • Consumer-protection obligations

For investors

The early months absorbed operational risk and proved the model. Credilink’s focus for the year ahead is to stabilize its market traction framework and operational setup, and to reach break-even by year-end.

The 2-year loan placement on Hive5 is the signal that Credilink is moving from stabilization into deliberate growth — and the opportunity for investors to participate in that next chapter on the following terms:

  • 14.5% annual interest — fixed rate for the full 2-year term
  • +1% loyalty bonus — additional yield available to eligible returning Hive5 investors

Combined, this can deliver up to 15.5% annual yield on a business-loan instrument backed by a fully regulated, operationally proven lending platform.

While the placement is structured as a 2-year commitment, Hive5 is launching a secondary market by September — giving investors a path to early liquidity if their plans change before maturity.

Hive Finance Group Becomes Part of Ruptela Group

Hive Finance Group announces a shareholder change – Ricardas Vandzinskas has sold his shares in the company to Ruptela Group, a well-established international business. Following the transaction, Ricardas Vandzinskas has fully exited Hive Finance Group and no longer holds any role or affiliation with the company. As a result, Ruptela Group now holds 35% of Hive Finance. The remaining 65% of shares are held by the main shareholder, Andrius Rupšys, who continues to lead the company’s strategic direction.

Confidence for the Future

Ruptela Group is a trusted and globally recognised business group. Founded in 2007, Ruptela is a telematics company specialising in GPS tracking technologies. It develops its hardware and software in-house and serves clients in over 120 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, North America, and Latin America.

With a team of more than 250 skilled professionals, Ruptela Group has built a strong reputation for quality, scalability, and innovation. It owns these companies:

  • Ruptela Transport Telematics – GPS device developer

  • LINQO – GPS tracking solutions provider

  • Hive Finance Group (including Hive5 marketplace, Ekspres Pozycka, Credilink, Finjet) – now the latest additions to the group

“Being part of Ruptela Group connects us to a strong international network and decades of technology leadership,” says Andrius Rupšys, the main shareholder of both Hive Finance and Ruptela Group. “It positions us to scale faster and deliver even more value to our investors and clients.”

Continuity and Focus on Governance

The platform and its processes remain unchanged – your accounts continue to operate as always. Earlier this year, we shared that Hive Finance Group would focus on strengthening corporate governance, increasing transparency, and improving risk management. This ownership update further supports that direction.

This ownership consolidation marks the beginning of a new chapter for Hive Finance Group, built on accountability, transparency, and responsible growth. Joining Ruptela Group provides a stronger organisational framework, access to the expertise of an established international technology group, and opens new opportunities for innovation, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable international expansion.

Firmeo Launches on Hive5 with €100,000 Business Loan Offering at 13% Return

Starting next week, Firmeo – a business lending company owned by Hive Finance Group – will be listed on the Hive5 investment platform. The listing will launch with €100,000 in 6-month business loans offering a 13% annual return to investors and will support Firmeo’s business development. The funds will be used to finance operational growth, IT development, marketing, taxes and other business needs. This launch comes at a time when investors are increasingly seeking stable short-term returns, while Polish SMEs continue to face limited access to fast and flexible financing.

About Firmeo

Firmeo specialises in financing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), businesses that often face challenges securing credit from traditional banks. With a fully online application process and credit decisions in as little as 24 hours, Firmeo makes funding accessible, fast, and transparent. Loan amounts will range from PLN 10,000 to PLN 500,000 (approx. €2,300 – €110,000), with flexible repayment terms between 3 and 12 months.

SMEs Drive Growth—but Lack Financing Options

Poland has 2.78 million registered companies, of which an overwhelming 99.8% are SMEs. These firms power employment, exports, and productivity—but access to capital remains their biggest growth barrier:

  • Only 48% of SMEs use external financing (vs. 71% in the Czech Republic)

  • 66.9% rely solely on their own funds

  • Banks continue to apply strict collateral and documentation requirements

This long-standing credit deficit has suppressed SME growth for over 15 years, creating sustained demand for flexible financing solutions—especially for working capital loans in sectors like construction, logistics, transport, and retail.

Alternative Lending is Accelerating in Poland

Non-bank business finance has been expanding steadily and now plays a critical economic role:

  • Factoring volumes increased 10× in the last 15 years to €110.9B

  • Leasing volumes tripled to €15.9B since 2008

  • SME non-performing loans dropped from 14.6% in 2010 to 9.7% today

  •  Alternative lending is growing 10–15% annually

These trends show a maturing market with rising investor confidence and growing SME adoption of fintech-led lending.

Firmeo Led by Proven Credit Expertise

Firmeo’s lending strategy is guided by Wojciech Homan, Managing Director of Firmeo and Ekspres Pożyczka in Poland. With over 20 years of experience in lending and risk management, W. Homan previously held leadership roles at Provident, one of Poland’s largest consumer finance companies, and other major lending institutions.

Under his leadership, Ekspres Pożyczka—also part of Hive Finance Group—has demonstrated strong portfolio resilience and consistent profitability since launching in 2022. During this period, investors on Hive5 earned a total of €1.28 million in interest. Homan’s disciplined approach to credit and risk has set a benchmark within the group, which Firmeo now leverages in the SME lending space.

Hive5 – Secured Investment with Buyback Protection

Firmeo’s business loans will be available exclusively on Hive5, a platform also owned by Hive Finance Group. Every investment is protected by a Buyback Obligation: if a borrower is over 60 days late, the loan originator must buy back the loan in full, along with accrued interest.

Zero late loans

More importantly, we operate under a zero-late-loan policy. We ensure that investors receive their expected payments on time. If a borrower fails to pay, hive5 provides immediate repayment and separately manages the debt collection process.

Transparency and trust

We prioritise clear communication and full transparency with our investors. Monthly platform reports and detailed loan originator performance updates are available for review at any time. Furthermore, our rating on Trustpilot is 4.5, which demonstrates our commitment to investor satisfaction and trust.

Credilink in Action: First Loans Issued in Romania

We want to share the latest step in our expansion: Credilink has issued its first loans in Romania. This is not only a long-awaited step in Hive Finance’s growth journey but also the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our platform and investor community.

It is the official start of our operations in Romania – a market we’ve been working hard to enter. For investors, this means you can expect more loan opportunities in the near future.

A Strategic Launch

As we’ve shared before, entering a regulated market like Romania was a long and complex process. To accelerate this expansion, we acquired an existing company with an active license and rebranded it under our name. The legal name is B2Kapital, while the brand name remains Credilink.

Romania is a market with strong fundamentals and high growth potential. It combines a population of 20 million people, skilled lending professionals, and an underserved segment in terms of financial products.

While the average net income in the country has been steadily increasing, many still earn less than 600  EUR per month, leaving a large demographic underserved by traditional banks. Credilink aims to close this gap and bring responsible, transparent, and accessible lending to these communities.

What to Expect from Credilink?

The initial portfolio is intentionally small; thus, we’re focused on controlled, quality growth. All business loans issued so far have been fully funded very quickly, reflecting strong investor interest and trust.

«As Credilink enters its next chapter, we’re proud to have launched a platform that redefines access to financial services for underbanked individuals in Romania. Our innovative API-driven infrastructure allows us to move faster and more flexibly than traditional lenders. Our main priority is to empower young adults and underserved communities with intuitive financial tools built for real life», says Laur Emilian, Chairman & CEO of Credilink.

In addition, as all the companies of Hive Finace, Credilink has huge plans for the future. «We’ve set an ambitious target: reaching a portfolio of 38 million RON (7,5M EUR) by the end of our second year of operations. It’s a bold goal – but one we’re confident in achieving through smart execution and a customer-first mindset. We believe finance should move at the speed of life – and we’re here to make that happen.»,- says Laur Emilian.

To Sum Up

Now that the company is officially live, customer loans will appear on the hive5 platform very soon. You can check out the new web page: http://credilink.ro

We appreciate your trust and patience as we continue expanding into new markets. Thank you!

How Ekspres Pozyczka is Reducing Default Rates in Poland?

Today, we are excited to celebrate the outstanding performance of our Polish loan originator, Ekspres Pozyczka. In a market where the average default rate ranges around 12%, Ekspres Pozyczka has managed to cut that figure nearly in half, reducing it to an impressive 6.5% (as of April 2024). This achievement is not just a number; it reflects a carefully prepared strategy and the hard work of a dedicated team that has found the perfect formula for minimising risk.

A Winning Strategy

In 2023, the average default rate for Ekspres Pozyczka was 8.1%. The team didn’t stop there while this was already below the market average. Through continuous improvement of the daily processes, they have further reduced the default rate to 6.5% in 2024. This significant achievement highlights the effectiveness of Ekspres Pozyczka’s risk management practices. The Polish team has created a reliable and secure lending environment by implementing a robust credit application selection, maintaining client relationships, and continuously refining their approach. In general, we are happy to provide greater security for our investors, knowing that their funds are managed with precision and care.

Moreover, Ekspres Pozyczka is actively sharing its best practices with other loan originators within the Hive Finance group. Thus, we aim to replicate this success in different markets, ensuring our other companies benefit from the same strict risk management strategies.

A Buyback Guarantee

Another layer of security for our investors is the buyback guarantee, a promise that no one has had to rely on. Because of our internal agreement, they are often bought back early, keeping the guarantee in place, but rarely needed. This further highlights the reliability of our investment options. As one of our Trustpilot reviewers noted, «The security provided by the buyback guarantee gives me peace of mind, even though I’ve never had to use it.»

Trust and Confidence

Ultimately, Ekspres Pozyczka’s low default rates and strong risk management practices are part of our commitment to building trust with our investors. The achievements in Poland set a perfect example for our entire group, showing what’s possible with the right focus and determination. To sum up, we aim to ensure that every market we operate in provides our investors with the same security and confidence.

It is clear that more individuals are recognizing the value and reliability that the company brings to the lending market.

Ambitious Plans for the Future

Finjet has ambitious plans to improve its services and gain more clients. The company focuses on gaining even more market share in the coming months. By refining these models, Finjet ensures that it remains proactive in managing risk while continuing to offer competitive loan products.

Building Trust

To sum up, by staying true to its values and consistently delivering results, Finjet is on its way to achieving even greater success in the months and years ahead. With a dedicated professional team, clear goals, and a commitment to innovation, Finjet is not just growing but moving toward long-term success.

Celebrating Two Years of Ekspres Pozyczka’s Success

Today marks a significant milestone for hive5 as we celebrate the second anniversary of our first loan originator, Ekspres Pozyczka. Without our Polish team’s fantastic efforts and achievements, hive5‘s success wouldn’t be what it is today. Thus, let’s celebrate their accomplishments over the past two years.

Achievements in Numbers

Since its inception, Ekspres Pozyczka has grown remarkably. Investors have funded an impressive 22.71 million Eur in business loans and 21.88 million Eur in short-term loans through our platform. These figures reflect our investors’ trust and confidence in Ekspres Pozyczka’s strong business model and performance.

In 2023, Argentum Capital reported a profit of 186,854 Eur. This growth continued into the first quarter of 2024, with a profit of 676,154 Eur. These outstanding results highlight the company’s strategies’ effectiveness and ability to thrive in a competitive market.

As we have worked closely with Ekspres Pozyczka for all these two years, we think one of the main components of its success is its ability to perfectly combine a growing number of granted loans while maintaining a low default rate. Therefore, they have become a reliable financial service in Poland.

The Team

Notably, at the heart of these achievements is a dedicated and professional team led by CEO Wojciech Homan. Wojciech’s financial expertise and perfect leadership skills have been the leading force in driving Ekspres Pozyczka towards success. His management has enabled a culture of hard work, positivity, and a strict focus on achieving shared goals.

Thank You

Our team thanks the entire Ekspres Pozyczka team. Your perfect collaboration and uncompromising pursuit of excellence have brought significant achievements and set a model for us to follow. We are proud of your hard work and look forward to what the third year will bring.

CEO, hive5
