This page sets out Hive5’s responses to questions raised in published reviews and investor discussions, including our company connections, earlier financial statements, Trustpilot review incentives and reported investor numbers.
On 3 July 2023, lawyers acting for Hive5 sent a letter to a publisher challenging specific claims about Credon and their use to link Hive5 to alleged fraud. We considered that link unsupported.
The letter requested correction or removal of those claims and revision of the assessment where it relied on them. It did not explicitly request deletion of the entire review.
We welcome reviews that discuss Hive5’s strengths, weaknesses and risks, including reviews that reach negative conclusions. We ask that the factual claims supporting those conclusions are accurate.
Juozas Rupšys was a shareholder in Argentum Capital, the company behind Ekspres Pożyczka, from 2009 to 2012, before Hive Finance acquired the company. He later helped with that acquisition but has not been involved in Argentum Capital’s management or day-to-day operations since then.
Hive Finance UAB now holds approximately 99.69% of Argentum Capital’s share capital.
Juozas has never been a shareholder in Hive5 and has never been involved in its management or day-to-day operations.
Credon is not part of Hive Finance Group, and Hive5 does not own or operate it.
CreditOnline is a separate loan-management software provider founded by Juozas Rupšys. Businesses in Hive Finance Group use its software.
Reiz Tech acquired CreditOnline and CreditOnline UK. Juozas Rupšys is no longer CreditOnline’s CEO.
Hive Finance Group recorded positive EBITDA of €36,543 in Q1 2023, but a net loss of €47,618. EBITDA measures earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation. Positive EBITDA does not necessarily mean a company has made a net profit.
Our earlier statement should have specified positive EBITDA rather than referring broadly to Group profitability. Both figures were disclosed in our published financial update.
During Hive5’s early growth, we offered a €25 account credit to encourage investors to share their experience on Trustpilot. The offer did not require a positive rating.
We recognise that offering a reward for a review was inappropriate. We have discontinued this practice and no longer offer payments, bonuses or other incentives for Trustpilot reviews. We welcome both positive and negative feedback.
Our registration numbers grew, but we later identified non-genuine registrations from one marketing channel.
Following a data quality review, we removed inactive and incorrectly registered accounts. We subsequently reported the resulting reduction.
