Hive5 has launched its secondary market, allowing investors to sell their existing investments to other investors before they are fully repaid, or buy investments listed by others.
The feature gives you more flexibility to manage your portfolio. Selling depends on another investor choosing to buy, so a listing does not guarantee an early exit.
You can find the secondary market in your Hive5 account by opening the Investment tab and selecting Secondary Market.
How it works
- No fees. Listing, selling and buying investments on the secondary market are free.
- Discounts of up to 50%. Investments can be sold at their outstanding principal value or at a discount of up to 50% of that amount.
- Full investments only. Sellers must sell their entire remaining investment in a loan. Partial sales are not available at launch.
- Manual purchases only. Investments listed on the secondary market are not included in Auto Invest and must be purchased manually.
- 30-day listings. Listings remain active for 30 calendar days and can be renewed. Sellers can change the price or cancel a listing before the purchase is confirmed.
- The repayment schedule stays the same. The buyer takes over the remaining claim rights, including any applicable buyback obligation.
- Reselling is supported. Investments purchased on the secondary market can be listed again, subject to eligibility.
What comes next
At launch, sold investments will not yet appear in the “Finished investments” section. The investment report will also be updated to reflect secondary market sales and their completion dates.
Both updates are planned. Partial investment sales are also planned for a later phase. We will share release dates once confirmed.
