Hive5 Explained: How the P2P Investment Platform Works

Auto-Invest allocates your available funds to loans that match criteria you choose, so you spend less time selecting loans manually.

Set your Auto-Invest criteria

You choose the filters. The system checks new loans against them and allocates available funds within your limits.

You can create a strategy before adding funds. Nothing is reserved: money is drawn from your wallet only when an eligible investment is found. Loans that don’t match are skipped.

How Auto-Invest allocates funds

When new loans are published, the engine checks them against your strategy in five steps.

STEP 01

Triggering

Approved loans are processed after a set delay, and a scheduled check runs every 30 minutes. Changes to loans or wallet balances can trigger matching again.

STEP 02

Priority

Loans are considered oldest first. After a successful allocation, all of an investor’s strategies move to the end of the queue.

STEP 03

Strategy checking

Your active strategies are checked oldest first against their criteria, available funds and limits. A match doesn’t guarantee an allocation if the loan is already funded.

STEP 04

Skipping

If a strategy doesn’t match a loan, that pairing is skipped for 24 hours, then checked again if the loan is still available.

STEP 05

Reinvestment

With Reinvest on, amounts returned from a strategy are reinvested with the same criteria. With it off, investing stops once the target amount is reached.

Reinvestment and cash drag

Money sitting uninvested in your wallet (cash drag) can lower overall returns. Reinvest helps reduce it, depending on suitable loans being available.

Manual reinvestment

You return to your account and choose new investments yourself.

With Reinvest on

Amounts returned from a strategy are reinvested using the same criteria. The system checks every 30 minutes, but not every repayment is invested immediately.

Review your strategy regularly

Auto-Invest applies the criteria you set. Reviewing them regularly keeps your strategy in line with your goals.

Fit

Review your settings and portfolio regularly to make sure they still suit your goals.

Changes

Today, changing a strategy means deleting it and creating a new one. An editing update is planned.

Risk

Automation doesn’t remove credit, loan originator or liquidity risks.

Capital is at risk. Read more on our Is P2P Lending Safe? page.

Karolina Tomaševičė

“Hive5 is particularly attractive to investors who value a low entry point, a choice between short-term consumer loans and longer-term business loans, and the ability to automate their strategy through Auto Invest. Some investors appreciate the regular repayment cycle of short-term loans, while others prefer longer maturities with potentially higher interest rates.”
