What do the Auto Invest settings mean?

Each Auto Invest strategy uses the settings you choose to determine which available investments may qualify.

Strategy name

The name helps you identify the strategy in your Investment portfolio. It does not affect how investments are selected.

For example, you could use names such as:

  • Short-term loans
  • Business loans
  • Credilink portfolio
  • 14%+ strategy

Portfolio size, €

Portfolio size is the maximum amount that may be actively invested through this strategy at one time.

For example, if you set a portfolio size of €2,000, Auto Invest will continue making matching investments until the active amount invested through the strategy reaches €2,000.

The portfolio size:

  • is not an additional deposit;
  • does not transfer funds from your bank account;
  • does not guarantee that the full amount will be invested;
  • is not necessarily the total amount invested during the strategy’s entire lifetime.

If repayments are reinvested, the strategy may invest the same capital again. As a result, the amount shown as Invested during entire period may eventually be higher than the portfolio-size limit.

Example: Your portfolio-size limit is €2,000. Auto Invest invests €2,000 across several loans. Later, €200 is repaid, reducing your active portfolio to €1,800. If Reinvest is enabled, Auto Invest may invest up to €200 into new matching investments, bringing the active portfolio back towards its €2,000 limit.

Investment size, €

The From and Up to fields define the minimum and maximum amount that Auto Invest may allocate to one loan.

For example, if you set From €10 and Up to €50, the strategy may invest between €10 and €50 in an eligible loan.

Auto Invest will not invest:

  • less than the minimum amount you set;
  • more than the maximum amount you set;
  • more than the remaining amount available in the loan;
  • more than the uninvested funds available in your account;
  • more than the remaining capacity under your portfolio-size limit.

The minimum investment amount on Hive5 is €10 per investment.

A lower amount per loan may help spread a portfolio across more individual loans. However, investing in several loans from the same Loan Originator does not remove exposure to that Loan Originator.

Loan Originators

This setting determines which lending companies and loan products may be included in the strategy. Only investments from the selected Loan Originators can be considered by Auto Invest.

Selecting several Loan Originators does not mean that your funds will automatically be distributed equally between them. Auto Invest invests according to matching investment availability.

For example, selecting three Loan Originators in one €3,000 strategy does not automatically limit each Loan Originator to €1,000.

To set a clearer maximum allocation for each Loan Originator, you can create separate strategies with individual portfolio-size limits.

  • Strategy 1: Loan Originator A — portfolio limit €1,000
  • Strategy 2: Loan Originator B — portfolio limit €1,000
  • Strategy 3: Loan Originator C — portfolio limit €1,000

This gives you more control over the maximum amount that each strategy may invest. It does not guarantee that each limit will be fully reached, because the result still depends on the availability of matching investments.

Loan term, days

This setting defines the minimum and maximum loan term accepted by the strategy. The values must be entered in days, not months.

For example, if you set From 30 days and Up to 90 days, only investments with a term within the selected range may qualify for the strategy.

This setting does not mean that Auto Invest will wait for 30 or 90 days before investing. It is a filter applied to the term of the available investment.

A narrower term range gives you more control, but may reduce the number of matching investments.

Interest rate, %

This setting defines the annual interest-rate range accepted by the strategy.

For example, if you set From 14% and Up to 16%, only investments displaying an annual interest rate within this range may qualify.

The interest rate displayed on Hive5 is an annual rate, not the amount you will earn each month or over the full loan term. The actual interest earned depends on the invested amount, the number of days invested and the applicable repayment terms.

Setting a high minimum interest rate may result in fewer matching investments if the currently available rates are lower.

Reinvest

When Reinvest is enabled, repaid principal and earned interest credited to your Hive5 account may be automatically allocated to new investments that match the strategy.

Reinvestment remains subject to:

  • the portfolio-size limit;
  • your minimum and maximum investment amount;
  • the selected Loan Originators;
  • the loan-term range;
  • the interest-rate range;
  • the availability of eligible investments.

When Reinvest is disabled, the strategy does not automatically use returned principal and interest to maintain the portfolio.

Disabling Reinvest does not cancel investments already made. Existing investments continue according to their applicable terms and Investment Agreements.
